Chios Mastic Growers Association, Kimi Agricultural Cooperative and Mediterra cooperative company SA, three cooperative bodies from two Greek islands – Chios and Evia, joined forces and combined their energy and dynamics to promote their renowned and invaluable products: Chios Mastic and Kimi figs. The products are produced in a traditional way and combine quality, flavour, love and care from their producers.


    Chios Mastic Growers Association was established in 1938 under Law 1390. It is a Compulsory Cooperative and the exclusive managing body of natural Chios mastic both in Greece and abroad.
    It is the collective expression of 20 primary cooperatives from the 24 mastic villages located in southern Chios.
    The vision and objective of the Chios Mastic Growers Association is for consumers worldwide to get to know – through modern and beneficial for their health products- mastic, a distinctive and unique in flavour & fragrance product, with significant and certified therapeutic properties.


    MEDITERRA Limited Liability Cooperative was founded in 2002 by Chios Mastic Growers Association, with primary objective to establish a permanent Chios mastic promotion mechanism, as well as to design and produce mastic products and establish mastihashop stores. The company has become today a success story and a reference point for cooperatives and business in Greece.


    The cooperative was established in 1980 and consists of about 800 members from 22 communities in the region of Kimi, Evia Prefecture. The main task of the cooperative is the collection, processing, packaging and distribution of the “KIMI FIG” in the market. The output ranges from 100 to 150 tons depending on weather conditions in the region during the harvest.
